1.What we ask and why
In the Family App you can add a short note about your child’s allergies, medical conditions or anything else our teacher should know to keep them safe in class (for example, a severe allergy or what to do in an emergency).
We ask only so we can respond appropriately in class. We don’t make medical judgements, and we don’t need medical documents.
2.It’s optional
You don’t have to give us health information to book. If you don’t, we may not know how best to help your child if something happens in class — so please tell us about anything serious.
Because health information is sensitive information under the Privacy Act, we only collect it with your consent. Adding a note in the Family App is that consent.
3.Who can see it
- You, in your Family App.
- The Cuddle & Sing owner, who manages enrolments.
- Your child’s teacher, as an essential alert on the private class roster — only what’s needed for safety.
Health notes are never included in routine emails, never shared with analytics or advertising services, and never shown publicly.
4.How it’s protected and kept
Health notes are stored in our secure database (hosted in Australia where available), encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is restricted by role.
We keep a note only while it’s needed to keep your child safe in class. You can update or delete it at any time in the Family App, or ask us to delete it.
